There isn’t a lot of “new construction” in this historic buildings, but we are building new bathrooms. The original bathrooms were too small and too inefficient to support the new uses in this building. With the high school’s corridors being 18-feet wide, it seemed like a logical approach to diminish the width of one leg of the donut-shaped corridor in favor of the new restrooms. Right now they are a maze of metal wall studs and plumbing pipe. In a few days, all of that will be concealed behind drywall and the new restroom core will blend right into the building.
